Fix the route and the capacity basis
State whole fruit or purchased pulp, accepted product specification and the intended packing / preservation route. List whole-fruit feed, purchased-pulp input and final output separately where relevant. Keep the operating hours and cleaning window with the quantity.
Mark optional duties such as a second screening stage, formulation or a retained freezer. An item should enter the base scope because it performs a defined operation, not because it appeared in another fruit-processing proposal.
Use a line-item scope schedule
Ask every supplier to return the same schedule identifying included equipment, configured assumptions and exclusions. Request connection points for product, utilities, controls and waste. Separate new supply from equipment to be retained or supplied by others.
Installation, commissioning, training, product trials and process validation can have different owners. Identify them explicitly. The site work required around the equipment can materially affect the project even when it does not appear in the machine subtotal.
| Cost / scope line | What to identify |
|---|---|
| Process modules | Selected duties, models, product basis and options |
| Packing / preservation | Filling, freezer or aseptic boundary and package assumptions |
| Utilities / connections | Skids, site supply, piping, cabling, drains and returns |
| Delivery / installation | Transport boundary, unloading, placement and local work |
| Verification / support | Trials, commissioning, training, validation roles and spares |
Compare assumptions and evidence
Read the product conditions behind every capacity or consumption value. A generic catalog rating is not accepted-pulp output. Ask which observations or calculations support the configured figures and which details remain provisional.
Identify the evidence required to close each unknown: representative product trial, package compatibility, utility measurements or an installed-layout review. This makes uncertainty visible and avoids disguising it inside an apparently fixed total.
Evaluate the complete operating scope
Consider cleaning access, changeover, wear parts and the full production schedule alongside purchase price. Obtain actual supplier information before estimating ongoing service or consumable costs. No percentage saving or generic payback period can substitute for that basis.
Send a common enquiry brief with an equipment list, product specification, package and site drawing. A reviewable comparison shows differences in duties and responsibilities as clearly as differences in price.
Questions from equipment buyers
What does an açaí processing line cost?
The inlet, output, package, service boundary and site work determine the scope. A configured quotation is required; this page does not publish an unsupported stock price.
Why can two similar capacity quotations differ?
They may use different mass bases, product conditions, equipment duties, downstream systems and installation responsibilities.
Should optional equipment be priced separately?
Yes, when its need depends on a trial or an unresolved product decision. State the condition that would make the option part of the required scope.
