Describe the intended finish
Use a representative pulp sample and an agreed assessment method. Identify acceptable coarse material and the texture that the buyer expects.
Measure what the screen removes
Record retained material and accepted product over the same period. Screen selection can affect texture and product mass, so reject volume must be part of the evaluation.
Check the incoming duty
Temperature, viscosity and suspended material affect screen loading. A screen that works for one feed should not be assumed to give the same result with a different pulp.
Consider access and changeover
Inspect removal access, wear surfaces and how a screen is cleaned or exchanged. Include the frequency and access requirements in the equipment discussion.
Request a screen-duty review
Send pulp samples or a finish specification, feed conditions and required throughput. Exact screen arrangements follow the product evaluation.
